Ad copy and preview

Preview an ad as a Facebook catalog ad, write its text, and adjust its creatives.

Updated Oct 13, 2026 · 1 min read

Click an ad in a campaign to open it. The ad page has three tabs:

  • Overview: the ad's creatives and whether each one is approved.
  • Products: the products the ad runs on. Want more? Connect your catalog or shop here.
  • Settings: the ad preview, the ad copy and the creative settings.

Preview the ad

On the Settings tab, the left side shows the ad as a Facebook catalog ad. Switch between Desktop and Mobile, and use the arrows to swipe through the products, just as Meta shows them.

Write the ad copy

Under Ad copy:

  • Primary text: the text above the images. Type your own, or click Suggest to have OptiQube write it from the ad set's products. If you leave it empty, it is written for you when you activate.
  • Headline: the line under each image. {{product.name}} is replaced by each product's own name.
  • Show price and Show product name: switch them off if you do not want them under the images.

Note

The ads in an ad set usually share one text. When you activate the campaign, it is set for all of them at once.

Change the creatives

Under Creative:

  • Ask for a change: describe what to change, for example "Make the badge smaller. Put the logo bottom right.", and click Ask. It is applied the next time you click Regenerate all.
  • Regenerate all (top right of the preview) renders every creative of the ad again.

See Refine and regenerate creatives for the other ways to change creatives, and what changes cost.
